On Saturday January 15th, 2022, while operating at a mutual aid structure fire Forestburgh Fire Company (New York) Asst. Fire Chief William "Billy" Steinberg suffered a medical emergency and ultimately lost his life in the line of duty. The following weekend on Saturday January 22nd, 2022 surrounded by family, friends, co-workers, and hundreds of Firefighters, Police Officers, and Emergency Medical Service Providers from all over the State Of New York Signal 5-5-5-5 was transmitted and Asst. Chief Steinberg answered his final alarm. Rest In Peace Brother
