Emergency Service Photography Magazine
From time to time, random thought seem to pop into my head in regards to Emergency Service Photography and Emergency Service Photographers in general. This is where I post my rants, raves, and anything that seems to make its way here. All thoughts, comments, complaints, criticism, and so on are strictly mine and mine alone and are not associated with any agency or persons. Enjoy!! :)

Professionalism
One of the major factors that sets all of us here at Emergency Service Photography Magazine apart from “Main Stream Media” is professionalism. The main stream media is out for one and one thing only, and that is ratings and viewer acquisition. The slogan that is most associated with the media is “If it bleeds, it leads” I have always strived to be different then that as all Emergency Service Photographers should. Most of us are current or retired members of service and as that shouldn’t we be held to a higher standard and show the general public the side of Emergency Services they have never truly seen before? Part of our guidelines here at Emergency Service Photography Magazine is to never show license plates, actual addresses, and we never photograph/post fatal incidents. Anyone can take a picture of a fire or a car rolled over on its roof. As Emergency Service Photographers we are tasked with showing more then the carnage and loss of life/property the scenes we photograph entail. We should want to show the “artistic” and emotional side of Professional Photography. All in all, we can do better, we should be better, we need to be better. -Scott
